Holidays are over... :'( -edited-

And to think I touched down in SG just 3 days back... time flies so fast!! And I'm turning frickin' 20 soon!!! I DON'T WANT!!! Being 17, 18, 19 have been the best times of my life so far, reaching the big 2-0 is such a... milestone??? DAMN OLD LAH!

"Forever young, I wanna be forever young.."

Hokays, I received an sms from my darling Nura this morning and she asked me to leave my braids on until monday so that she can see it first-hand. However, I removed all of it last night. KAKAKAKAKAKAKAKA!!!

Sorry lah, babe. They were super loose by the time I ended my FYP meeting and the smell of the hair wax mixed together with the shampoo scent was UNBEARABLE! So no choice lor... I removed all 58 braids in half an hour (untangling of pigtails included).

Ok lar, just for you, here are more pictures of my braided hair (which I'm beginning to miss already)

A kiss to Nura!!!

Eh woman, we really have to take more pictures together lah!! The only photos I have of us are from the Chiangmai Students' Exchange Program!!! I was super-effing-FAT back then and my hairstyle was such a disaster!! Take photo with me when school reopens!!!

Raiden doesn't like my hair... he says it's "pokey". Whatever that means! When he came over to my block on the night that I reached home, he turned around and ran away when he saw my new hair-do!!!

When I asked him what he thought of it, his only words were, "Haiyoh... why your hair like that? haiyoh...."

DON'T CARE! At least one picture with you before I let it all loose!

While waiting for him at the MRT station two days ago, one lady came up to me and said my side-view "look like Negro". Wth! Malay, Indonesian, Filipino, Thai, Native American, Negro... anything else? Why nobody say I look like Spanish?! I support Spain for Euro 2008!!

El Nino, mi amor!!!

And now, presenting to you the aftermath of braids...

BEHOLD, the modern day Einstein!

Don't look alike meh? Yeah, yeah, he has a great mind with bad hair. I, on the other hand, just have bad hair. Ok, I GET IT!!

Hmm, since I'm done with my journal review, I guess I'm at liberty to blog about some special events that took place during this term break.

1) Raiden took me to a FISH SPA!!

Nah, not the one at Chinatown or Lim Chu Kang (duckie, I cannot find the place!!). We went to an outlet at the Singapore Flyer since he received two gift vouchers from his friend.

Whoever his friend is, THANK YOU!! Having little fishes nibble the dead skin away from my soles, toes and leg was awesome!! Khopkhun -muacks!!!-

Raiden was giggling throughout the 30 minutes that he had his feet submerged in the cool waters. Apparently, his threshold for tickles is lower than ground level.

2) I GOT WAXED FOR FREE!!

Many, many, many thanks to Geraldine (Goh) for giving me such a good lobang. Hahaha! Free brazilian bikini waxing, upper-lip waxing and eye-brow waxing. Damn shiok lah!

I was able to bring a friend along with me cause they had another slot at the same timing, but everyone was busy lor... it's at 3pm, so those who already started school or work confirm cannot come one. Bo bian, I went alone and had 5 ladies at my service!!

5 people staring at me DOWN THERE...

No pictures were taken lah! What's there to see anyway, pervs?!

The service was excellent, if I must say. They'd apply cleanser on your skin before waxing, the wax was of oh-so-shiok-until-peng temperature, antiseptic and some kinda cream to minimise hair follicles will then be applied after the procedure. Bed was soft, towels smelled freshly washed, aroma therapy was provided, lighting was appropriate (dim), room looked modern and the staff were really professional.

I love it when they applied the wax on. Hahahaha!! Eh, those who couldn't make it ah... you missed out big time man!! Like, BIG TIME!!!

Eye-brow waxing took drastically long though! But no complains, cause I dozed off half-way and when I woke up, the lady was still applying wax!! Haven't started tweezing away stubborn hair!! Howells, since the bed was so comfy, I decided to doze off yet again. LOL!

Time-in: 3.00pm

Time-out: 4.30pm

I was treated like a Queen for 90 minutes!! I WANNA DO IT AGAIN!! It's only my second time going for Brazilian Bikini waxing, but this time round, it is way better than my initial experience. The application of wax is to die for lah!!

Trust me, removal of body and facial hair at this place is WORTH EVERY DIME! It's at Cathay Cineplex (go to Dhoby Ghaut hor!) and the outlet is called "Mask"; just beside Ben&Jerry's. I think they're officially opening next week... Girlfriends, all of you must go and try ok!! You haven't experience life of a superstar until you get waxed clean and supple at Mask!

Editor's note: Editing begins from this point onwards because my head was still in the clouds this afternoon (no thanks to the bloody journal article) and I totally forgot to type about the most exciting part!!!!

3) MY BANGKOK TRIP!!!

I spent 5 days and 4 nights over at the capital of Thailand and it was remarkably splendid!! Sadly, unlike my Chiangmai trip last year, I didn't bring a camera along so not many photos were taken... except, of course, for my braided tresses.

Stayed over at Asia Hotel (rawks!) and it has a link to the BTS (Bangkok train system) so it was really easy for my family and I to get to Chatuchak (Holiday Market) at Mo Chit and this time round, my dad actually allowed me to go around town solo! Our hotel is at Ratchathewi, so I could easy take a train to either Siam or Chit Lom. Fucking cheap lah... only 15-20 baht for each ride. Beats having to take a taxi which would cost me 100-200 baht!

The moment we reached Bangkok (I missed my baby so much!!) and checked into the hotel, dad took us to Suan Lim Night Bazaar. Much smaller as compared to Chatuchak and a little more expensive as well, but just as fun! My mum and sis went for manicures, I bought quite a number of tops and dad went absolutely bankrupt. LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!

Reached the hotel close to 1am on the first night!! Woke up early the next day and headed for my beloved Chatuchak. I've been to Bangkok thrice, and each time, we never fail to shop at the Holiday Market.

BARGAIN! BARGAIN! BARGAIN!

Bought belts, clutch-bags, seashells and many more which I can't remember at the moment. Didn't buy any souvenirs for anybody though, cause this time round, I was using my dad's cash and it ain't logical to use his money to buy stuff for my friends, is it? Moreover last year when I went to Chiangmai, I bought gifts for several people already lor...

So I'm not being stingy; just being realistic.

Though I did get a packet of shells and a hairclip for Duckie (she lent me her bag ok!!) and I got a shirt for Hoiyan (she bought me a cap from HK ok!!). Raiden... Hehehehe!!! I gotta be fair and square right? *winks*

Came back after spending close to 6 hours there and I dozed off when I layed on my bed. When I woke up, mum and sis were gone!! THEY LEFT FOR MAH-BOON-KRONG WITHOUT ME!! I got my wallet (with 2000 baht in it) and walked there alone (dad wasn't around cause he went for his foot reflexology).

Since the overhead bridge lead me to the 3rd level, I decided to shop there first. And it took me 90 minutes to complete the entire storey!!! Still got 5 more levels to explore but I decided to head back in case my parents freaked out when they realise I'm not in my room. Oh yeah, I bought yet another clutch-bag.

Brisked walked all the way back, took the lift up and just as I came out of the lift, I saw my dad going into another lift. I shouted for him and asked him where was he going to. His answer was, "Going to Mah-Boon-Krong lor... come, follow me!"

-__________-"

Walking back and forth like one idiot...

Ok lah, at the end of the entire trip (gotta cut long story short cos my fingers are aching!) I went to Suan Lum thrice, Chatuchak once, Mah-boon-krong 6 times!, Siam Discovery centre twice, Central World twice and Chinatown once.

Took tuk-tuk almost everywhere cause those bloody cab drivers are so greedy! Keep asking me for 300 baht! Forget it, man. I came here to shop, not to take taxi, so whatever! Tuk-tuk only costs me 60-80 baht. And BTS only 20 baht!

On the last night, I desperately wanted to buy a pair of skinny jeans I saw at MBK earlier in the morning (got protest going on just ouside leh!!) and my family and I were having dinner at Central World. So dad passed me 1000 baht and I WALKED TO SIAM IN THE RAIN! Call me dumb or stupid but walking alone in Bangkok and getting drenched is a new experience! And going on a holiday is about experiencing new stuff, correct?

Saw two boys begging for money along the sky-walk... gave the younger one my last 20 baht and his face lit up unlike anyone else's I've ever seen. Both the boys are brothers, so they shared the money. The sight of them made me think back on my life... I'm really priviledged; with a family, education, clothes on my back, allowances, getting chances to go overseas... And to think at times I keep comparing myself to Paris Hilton, asking people why am I not rich like her etc. But after seeing the boys, I guess I am rich and fortunate. And I am thankful (finally!).
